Shooting squirrels

Adventure race
(from FB)

Brilliant adventure race this morning! Thank you Paul Wilman!
1) Chocolate BROWNIES! Thank you Sam Drake!
2) Fantastic weather! Thank you, Sun!
3) Three hours of MTBing WITH "Mikey on the Bikey", not BEHIND him. Thank you, Mikey's back wheel for puncturing!
4) Almost an hour of running/(swimming) round Stanmer Park! Thank you to the lovely man whose name I have forgotten but who talked me through the course several times, and then, when trying to demonstrate how wide the paths are with his arms, got surprised when I hugged him back
5) The brilliant people down at the shooting range. Thanks to them, only one squirrel was seen to be limping away grudgingly
AND, as if it couldn't get any better..... CURLY WURLIES!

Then long run on Sunday and what I learned about myself (deep and meaningful)
Struggling. Backed off and turned early - a smidgeon under 18k total. But this did include "Snaky Hill" which not only have I never heard of, but not run up either. Am just terrified of the thought of running MORE than double this distance in less than 6 weeks. Gah!

The (second) best half marathon in the world

Running with sis (this time her name was....  something about aliases)
Not really a half marathon, more a 10k followed by interval training.  I was probably more tired than she was.
But hey, I have such a cool sister - she can just rock up and run a half marathon!

Second best because not as good as Bacchus half- which we have signed up for already.
